What is Health Coaching?
The art of Health coaching is based on a collaborative approach rather than a directive one, utilising the skills and resources of the Coach, who teams up with the client/patient to help move them forward, with empathy, caring and encouragement. From a good Health Coach you will gain motivation and confidence, gradually improving habits and skills as you journey towards your chosen goals and aspirations. The right Health Coach knows their scope of practice and is able to work confidently alongside your GP, specialist doctor, nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, chiropractor, nutritionist and other health support practitioners when necessary.

A great Health Coach with the right mindset and skills will be your greatest cheerleader and always be in your corner, with a listening ear, an open mind and the right resources to help you find meaningful solutions and strategies that work for you. Your chosen goals and strategies may include factors such as lifestyle modification, behaviour change, weight management, personalising resources or programs, stress or anxiety management, confidence, mindset, motivation, being a role model for your children, disease prevention, personal efficacy, knowledge and skills, navigating health care plans, or anything else that would positively impact the trajectory of your health, vitality and happiness.
